About Jiva

Jiva Parthipan's work has been seen internationally to include The Tate Modern, ICA – Institute of Contemporary Arts, National Review of Live Art Royal opera House ( all in the UK), Dublin Festival, Centre national deLa Dance Paris, Bone festival, Switzerland and Jomba Festival, South Africa  to include a few.
Past work include Terror of Living, Rent, FIST!, Lick, Necessary Journey, [man(DOG, MONKEY, GOD)], Al Qaeda State Ballet, Waiting and Pakiboy.

Jiva's latest  film works, Stuff of Life and Waiting for guards was commissioned by Amnesty International in collaboration with Dark Fibre Films opened across cinemas and online in October 2008 and 2009 respectively. Jivas work has been seen across festivals and venues in the UK, Australia, South Africa, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Holland and France.

The Arts Council, England,  AHRC – Arts and Humanities Research Council, Birmingham City Council and commissions from venues and festivals, have funded his past work.

Along with a MA in Performance (Distinction) from Goldsmiths College, London, Jiva is an associate lecturer at Central St Martins, University of the Arts, London.
